Las influencias de MAnuel Alberto sobre el mundo púrpura no dejan de asombrarme:

después de casi año y medio que apareciera el artículo que abre este tópico, la DPAS añade al respecto:

"There's more news due next week! "

Live In Stockholm 1970 *updated 8.10.04*
Purple Records are planning the release of PUR338D, a double cd of Deep Purple "Live In Stockhom" recorded at the Stockholm Konserthuset on 12th November 1970. The show was first released by Connoisseur Records in 1990 as 'Scandinavian Nights', sourced from a Swedish radio broadcast tape.

Recently however the original four track masters were rediscovered and the sound was so good that it was decided to reissue the entire show in a fully remixed version, taking advantage of the latest digital equipment to bring out the best from this archive recording, and also putting the tracks back into their correct running order. The disc comes with the usual high quality packaging and an extensive booklet.

The CD has been scheduled for release in Germany and the UK in November 2004. Pre-orders are being taken at dpas online. MM #600463

Re: Nuevas ediciones del Machine Head Live 1972 y del Cal Jam

More details of the forthcoming CALIFORNIA JAM and LIVE IN DENMARK DVDs are now emerging, along with details of Limited Edition versions for DPAS buyers. T2 Media are still heavily involved in the production of these two DVDs but say the titles will now appear on EMI worldwide, except for America (Spitfire/Eagle) and Japan (VAP). This is to ensure better co-ordination and to help combat piracy which has affected DVDs in some territories.

• CALIFORNIA JAM - this title will have a bonus track, spoken commentary, picture gallery, plus alternate camera angles on some tracks. In addition a deluxe edition will only be available to people purchasing via the DPAS Mail Order Catalogue; this will include special packaging, reproduction ticket, a poster and other material.

• LIVE IN DENMARK - this title is now being expanded and will become the first in a projected series of Deep Purple archive releases. 'THE DEEP PURPLE DVD COLLECTION 68/76 Volume One' will include the complete Denmark 1972 show, together with the legendary New York Hofstra University 1973 footage. The latter is in colour, and lasts around 25 minutes. Some clips from this appeared on the Eagle DVD "Machine Head", but the new DVD will contain all that survives. Again a special edition will be available to people pre-ordering via the DPAS Mail Order Catalogue.

Both titles are now at the authoring stage and are expected in February 2005. Further volumes will be announced in due course. Both T2 and Deep Purple Overseas have issued a warning about the recent "Inside DP" DVD, saying the clips on it have not been licensed, are of poor quality, and are clearly sourced from unofficial VHS sources.
